Our Grounds

Situated on two acres of park-like grounds Kowhai Lodge is a premier venue on the southern edge of Christchurch accommodating up to ten (10) people overnight and thirty (30) for a day conference.

Nestled in the Claremont subdivision, just 6 km south of Hornby and 15 minutes from Christchurch airport, it’s landscaped gardens are a great backdrop for day conferences, leadership retreats, or simply relaxing in a home away from home.

For work colleagues, friend’s and families, it’s a rare opportunity for independent or catered hotel style living just minutes from New Zealand’s second largest city and within easy driving distance to some of New Zealand’s most popular ski fields.

Kowhai Lodge has five bedrooms, each sleeping two (double or two singles), a lounge dining area, a second lounge/seminar room, and a fully equipped kitchen and butler’s pantry.
